Couples therapy is said to be one of the most complex and rewarding therapies to provide. This three-part series offers the attendees the opportunity to gain experience of the critical foundation of the couple, the examination of the couple’s composition, which areas couples may become stuck in and how to move the couple to create the relationship they want.
Dr. Barbara Lynch was the quintessential educator, trainer, and clinician. Dr. Lynch 35+ years of working with couples and teaching couples therapy resulted with her book “The Couple and Couples Therapy”.
The attendees will learn how to assess and provide couples therapy with an understanding of relationship dynamics and how and when to intervene.
The attendees will learn who to work with the couple’s developmental cycle, bonding, as well as therapeutic bonding and sequential behaviors in the couple relationship.
Through small breakout groups, role play and practices, attendees will demonstrate how to assess the couples’ developmental stage, couple bonding, as well as, how to create a benign therapeutic distance.
